About this Event
35 East 12th Street, Holland, MI 49423-3605
You are invited to participate in a Provost Input Session on Thursday, September 29th from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Science Center Atrium. You may be aware that Hope College will be undertaking a search for candidates for the position of provost this year. A provost is the “chief academic officer” of a college or university. This means that the provost provides leadership and budgetary oversight for the academic program of the institution, working with deans, department chairs, student services, faculty, and staff to make decisions that ensure academic rigor and excellence in the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. The provost also works in close collaboration with the president in giving leadership to the College.
As you can see, it’s important for the search process for a position such as this to have input from the voices of students.
To aid with planning, it would be helpful to know the approximate number of people who will attend the session. Registration is not required, but it would be helpful if you would indicate whether you expect to attend by completing this form: Interest Form. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Sonja Trent-Brown, trentbrown@hope.edu.
