Join us for an evening with Sophfronia Scott.

Sophfronia will read from her new novel Wild, Beautiful, and Free (the story of a twelve-year-old Jeannette sold into slavery as she discovers who she is and where she belongs) and from her award-winning The Seeker and the Monk: Everyday Conversations with Thomas Merton (an exploration of Merton's private journals in search of wisdom for how to live in our fraught times), followed by an author talk and Q & A. A book signing will immediately follow the event. There will be food and books will available for purchase.

This event is hosted by the Big Read Lakeshore in partnership with the Eugene Peterson Center for Christian Imagination at Western Theological Seminary.
