About this Event
271 Columbia Avenue, Holland, MI 49423-3650
Art can be a powerful tool for political, social, and cultural change. This exhibition features 40 artworks by 39 artists from around the globe who have used their talents to fight for civil rights, social justice, and environmental protections, and against political oppression, economic inequality, and war. The artworks range in date from the early 1900s to the early 2020s and include a mix of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and three-dimensional objects. All of the artworks in the exhibition belong to the permanent collection of the Kruizenga Art Museum. Eight of the artworks are recent acquisitions that have never previously been displayed at the museum.
Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome.
