The popular Big Read cuisine event is back! Hope College chefs, Randy Taylor and Tom Hoover will orchestrate a cultural culinary event inspired by our Big and Little Read books. After dinner, Caribbean artist Erick Picardo and West Michigan Presents will help us celebrate Caribbean culture. For people of all ages. Hope College’s NEA Big Read Lakeshore is an annual month-long community-wide reading program that takes place along the Lakeshore every November in collaboration with many partner organizations such as: Allegan District Library, Allendale Township Library, Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony, City of Holland, CultureWorks, Fennville District Library, Gary Byker Library of Hudsonville, Herrick District Library, Holland Area Arts Council, Holland Museum, Howard Miller Public Library, Loutit District Library, Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, Patmos Library, Ready for School, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, Saugatuck-Douglas District Library, Spring Lake District Library, Western Theological Seminary.
