"Proteins at the Museum: An exploration of Proteomics and Paleoproteomics projects at the Smithsonian"
Museum objects, including from our living collections, are composed in part or in whole of proteins (the functional representation of the genome). These proteins can provide information about how an object was made or the animal species that were used to creat it. Proteins can also be used to better understand the biology of living animals. This talk will focus on a variety of protein projects that I have worked on at the Smithsonian.
