Rev. Ebony S. Small is the Director of Movement Day Expressions for Movement.Org. Movement Day (MovementDay.Com) is a catalytic gathering of Christian leaders seeking to transform their city through gospel movements. Over 20,000 leaders have been trained by this annual gathering since its inception in 2010. Ebony has journeyed with Movement Day since 2011, playing an integral role in the growth and development of Movement Day Expressions in New York City and globally. Today, Ebony serves as an ambassador for Movement Day, while also providing consulting and coaching to global leadership teams across five continents in launching their expression of Movement Day for citywide transformation. Her passion is to be positioned by God in bringing forth the transformative power of the Gospel to the lives of people through mentoring, leadership training and ultimately collaborative partnership-building that impacts communities, cities, and the globe for the cause of Christ.
Ebony was named Co-Catalyst for Cities with The Lausanne Movement in 2016 and is a member of the Movement.Org’s Global Cities Leadership Community. She is working to build engagement by millennials in city gospel movements and to that end serves as a mentor for the Lausanne Movement’s Young Leaders Gathering, serves on the Advisory Board of Cru NYC Millennials, and on the board of the Mission America Coalition. Ebony is an elder at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in New York City, where she gives direct leadership to Singles Thriving Spiritually and Socially, The Third Service for youth and young adults, and Spark of Justice auxiliary ministries. She received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a Master Professional Studies degree with a concentration in pastoral counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Theological Seminary. She resides in the Bronx, NY.
