  Grand Rapids\, Michigan\n\nTrevor Meiste is a software engineer working in
  the aerospace industry. He will talk about his career and describe how sof
 tware engineering can support C-130 and F-22 combat aircraft. And he will d
 escribe what a “Skunkworks program” is!  \n\nTrevor Meiste is an embedded s
 oftware engineer at GE Aerospace working in the Avionics group which is hea
 dquartered in Grand Rapids. He graduated from the University of Michigan in
  2016 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and later got a Master’s degre
 e in Software Engineering from Penn State University. From 2018 to 2024 he 
 worked at Lockheed Martin in Marietta\, Georgia. There\, he supported C-130
  and F-22 simulation lab teams and later developed vehicle systems OFP for 
 a Skunkworks program. At GE\, he is developing the Health Awareness System 
 that will be a part of the US Army’s FLRAA platform.
