About this Event
221 Columbia Avenue, Holland, MI 49423
The Hope College Concert Band invites you to experience an evening of music that reflects a journey of faith as it endures the “fiercest droughts and storms” of our fallen world. From the rolling heights of the Appalachian Mountains to the smoke-scoured plains of the Civil War, themes of collapse, restoration and redemption will run through our repertoire. We are thrilled to partner with two special guests for this event. Joshua Linde (banjo) brings the worlds of wind bands and bluegrass together in a thrilling manner while Dr. Fred Johnson III (Narrator and Professor of History at Hope College) enriches the meaning of our music through the power of Abraham Lincoln’s speeches.
