The Hope College Theatre department will be holding its annual Distinguished Artist Award (DAA) Scholarship Day on February 22, 2019. Each year, up to 60 Distinguished Artist Award scholarships are given to students with strong academic records and outstanding creative abilities in art, dance, music, theatre or creative writing. Renewable for four years, the Distinguished Artist Award provides $3,000 for college costs. Graduating seniors in high school that are considering minoring or majoring in theatre at Hope are encouraged to apply. Theatre DAA recipients must major or minor in theatre. 

9–9:30 A.M. Arrival — Meet in the DeWitt Theatre Lobby for refreshments

9:30–9:45 A.M.  Warm ups with current students

9:45–10:10 A.M. Auditions 

10:15--10:45 A.M. Theatre Tour

10:50–11:20 P.M. Interviews and student conversations (DeWitt 221)

12–1 P.M. Lunch with candidates, families, faculty, and current students (Maas Auditorium)

1:00–2:00 P.M. Improv workshop led by students (Herrick Room)

2:00 P.M. Departure or free time

7:30 P.M. Curtain for Cry It Out in the DeWitt Main Theatre
