Title: A Jesus Centered Diversity and Equity Approach to Education

Description: When servant teachers understand themselves and model Jesus-like behaviors, they are able to create classrooms where all students feel acknowledged, safe, heard, and supported. In order to do this, we need to ask ourselves some important questions: Why did God send his only son, Jesus Christ to earth? Why do we need to love others as Jesus Christ loves us? Why might we be discouraged from loving like Jesus? How can we experience authentic hope? If hope ignites faith, how far are we from a Jesus-centered profession? How might we remember and model Christian principles consistently? In this presentation, we will explore how society often builds wills when it comes to diversity and equity issues and we keep moving further away from what God intended differences to be.
