“The Role of Controls Engineering in Industrial Automation” by
Jeff Holmes ‘16, Controls Engineer – Apex Controls, Hudsonville,
MI

Demand for controls engineers is extremely high in west Michigan. Jeff will give an overview on what industries use industrial automation and the role that a controls engineer plays in making a machine run. In working at Apex controls, he’s been able to work for multiple customers in both the automotive and food industries. He will discuss the different phases in a controls project and what his work day typically looks like during each phase.
