Daniel McNeel (Hope College class of 2011) is a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He completed his PhD in 2020
through the University of Connecticut and Argonne National Laboratory by studying a neutron-rich isotope of magnesium.
He is currently working on the development of a new type of low-temperature detector and is interested in applying the
technology to nuclear physics experiments probing the structure of the nucleus.
