Rodger Kobes (Hope, '63) and Michael Keller established an endowed fund in 2023 to bring prominent scientists to Hope College and the greater Holland community to discuss the translation of cutting edge science to human health. The 2025-26 speaker will be Dr. Greg Sawyer from the Moffitt Cancer Center who is a tribologist and bioengineer who visualizes the interaction between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment using novel bioengineering techniques developed in his lab. This talk will take a deep dive into the science involved in this emerging technology.
