Juan Coronado, Ph.D
Juan’s lecture will focus on the Latino experience, both on the home-front and in the battlefield during the Vietnam War Era. The talk will look at both the antiwar movement and the significant military contribution of Latinos, while also focusing on the importance religion played in their community. While religion and faith in God strengthened some of the soldiers, their religious believes also created conflict within themselves as it did not coincide with warfare.
