His newest work, ‘The Barbershop Chronicles,’ which addresses masculinity and mental health among black men in Africa and the diaspora will return to London's National Theatre after a well-reviewed and attended run this June. We have invited Ellams to campus to perform, “An Evening with an Immigrant,” and his visit will include other campus events, such as a workshop on developing solo performances, a talk about his development of “The Barbershop Chronicles,” and classroom visits.
