The singers enrolled in MUS128 Diction for Singers II (German Diction) are presenting a Liederabend, a German Art Song Recital. This event will take place on Monday, November 25th at 7:00PM in the John & Dede Howard Recital Hall in the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

The students of MUS128 have spent the semester honing their German language and pronunciation skills. In class, they have learned musical German vocabulary, listened to a variety of German repertoire, and practiced both speaking and singing in German. All of this work culminates into a celebration of German art song. This program is comprised entirely of songs by composers: W.A. Mozart, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Hugo Wolf, Johannes Brahms, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Clara Wieck Schumann, and Emilie Mayer. Texts and translations will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
