Little Read: Galápagos Girl/Galápagos Storytime

Dive into the Galápagos with Herrick District Library for a virtual read aloud of Galápagos Girl/Galápagos by Herrick District Library’s own Anne Pott! 

Spanish Storytime: 10 a.m.
Korean Storytime: 11 a.m.
Mandarin Storytime: 12 p.m.

Because of COVID-19, our Little Read program this year has gone virtual. We’re excited about all of our online events but we’re also thrilled to have partners like Herrick District Library who have organized this “take and make” activity. This activity is a kit full of ideas and supplies for things you can do at home that fit with the topics and themes of Galapagos Girl! Please register at!

Registration required starting October 19th at Pick up window is November 2-6. An email will be sent to registered participants with pick up instructions.

Each year, we partner with art galleries and other partners to host and provide exhibitions and activities related to the books our community reads.

NEA Big Read Lakeshore and Little Read Lakeshore are Hope College programs in collaboration with Allegan District Library, Allendale Township Library, Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony, City of Holland, CultureWorks, Fennville District Library, Gary Byker Library of Hudsonville, Herrick District Library, Holland Museum, Holland-Hope College Sustainability Institute, Howard Miller Public Library, Loutit District Library, Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, Outdoor Discovery Center, Patmos Library, Ready for School, Saugatuck-Douglas District Library, Spring Lake District Library, and Western Theological Seminary.
