Little Read Lakeshore: Animal Sounds Around the World

Saturday, October 12 at 11:00am

Herrick District Library, Children's Area

Let’s explore how animals "talk" around the world together! Inspired by The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! by Carmen Agra Deedy, we'll be reading stories and singing songs that introduce us to new cultures. For children 0-5 with a caregiver.

The Little Read Lakeshore is made possible in part by a grant from the Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Hope College’s NEA Big Read Lakeshore is an annual month-long community-wide reading program that takes place along the Lakeshore every November in collaboration with many partner organizations such as: Allegan District Library, Allendale Township Library, Alliance for Cultural and Ethnic Harmony, City of Holland, CultureWorks, Fennville District Library, Gary Byker Library of Hudsonville, Herrick District Library, Holland Area Arts Council, Holland Museum, Howard Miller Public Library, Loutit District Library, Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, Patmos Library, Ready for School, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, Saugatuck-Douglas District Library, Spring Lake District Library, Western Theological Seminary.
