2024 MLK Celebration and Leadership Summit | History in the Making: Behind the Dream

The registration table will open at 9:00 am and you can check in here and receive your name badge and a schedule of events. Two social justice team members will be present to assist you and clarify any questions you may have. Registration is required.

 

Breakout Session #1 Led by Hope College Student Organizations

9:35-10:20 a.m. | Haworth Hotel 

This breakout session will be facilitated by Hope College Student Organizations, Black Student Union, Student Congress Culture and Inclusion Committee, and Students Teaching and Empowering Peers. Please refer back to your registration to confirm which breakout session you will be attending or ask the people at the check-in table to assist you.

Chapel

We will have a special worship celebration to honor Dr. King which will feature guest worship leader Shavona Morgan accompanied by Campus Ministries Worship Team Z. Shomari Tate, Chaplain of Discipleship, will preach a special MLK Day message. Chapel will also be available via YouTube livestream.

 

MLK Celebration Luncheon Hosted by I Am Academy

11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. | De Vos Fieldhouse

Registration is required in advance; Check in on the day of. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Lunch Served until 11:20 a.m.

Hope College Professors Anna Bonnema, Dr. Fred Johnson, and Dr. John Yelding will facilitate this breakout session. Registration is required in advance; Check in on the day of.
