On April 16, 2025, the Peace and Justice Minor at Hope College will be holding a day-long conference at the Haworth Hotel to celebrate and promote the work of building a more peaceful and just world that our students and alumni are engaged in — on our campus, in our communities, and around the world.

Afternoon sessions will include student presentations and an alumni panel (schedule coming soon).

The evening will feature a networking reception with community partner organizations, a dinner, and a keynote address by Dr. Janna Hunter-Bowman of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, titled “Would You Join Us?”: Latin American Migrant-Led Social Movements & Re-membering the Crucified Body.”

Registration Options

Hope College Staff, Students, and Faculty

All hope affiliates (students, faculty, staff) are invited to attend. No registration is required for afternoon programming. But a free pre-registration is required for the reception and dinner.

Community Members

Community members are invited to attend afternoon programming and no registration is required. For the reception and dinner, there are two options available for registration.

Please consider sponsoring a table for $500. Each table sponsorship includes up to 8 tickets for the reception, dinner, and keynote address for the sponsor to invite friends, family members, colleagues, etc. At least additional seats at the table will be taken up by Hope College Peace and Justice students and faculty members. Half table sponsorships (4 tickets) are also available for $250.

Individual tickets for the reception, dinner, and keynote address are also available on an individual basis for $75 per person.

Community Partner Organizations

We envision the conference as a space for building connections within our extended community of organizations and individuals engaged in the work of peacebuilding and working towards justice.

Leaders and staff members of community organizations are welcome to attend afternoon programming and no registration is required.

We invite organizational representatives to also join us for our networking reception, dinner, and keynote address. Each organization will be provided with a table to display information and literature during the reception and dinner. The reception will be structured as a time for conversations and networking. The suggested donation for organizational participation is $100 (for two representatives to attend). If the suggested donation is prohibitive, a waiver is available. Please email Roger Baumann to request a waiver (baumann@hope.edu).
