What I Was Wearing is an exhibition presented by STEP (Students Teaching and Empowering Peers) at Hope College. The exhibition is one way in which STEP strives to provide survivors of sexual violence in the Hope community a platform to speak their truth and share their stories. On display in the exhibition are examples of outfits worn by survivors at the time the incident occurred. What I Was Wearing challenges the notion that provocative clothing is the cause of sexual assault and that sexual assault can be prevented by survivors alone.
The exhibition will be on view April 1-12, 2025
Admission to the museum is always free and the public is welcome. The KAM is open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
