Theatre Distinguished Artist Awards (DAA) Day

Each year, up to 60 Distinguished Artist Award scholarships are given to students with strong academic records and outstanding creative abilities in art, dance, music, theatre or creative writing. Renewable for four years, the Distinguished Artist Award provides $3,000 for college costs. Graduating seniors in high school that are considering minoring or majoring in theatre at Hope are encouraged to apply. Apply Here.

Theatre DAA recipients must major or minor in theatre. 

12:00 - 1pm: Arrival - Lunch with candidates, families, faculty, and current students (Maas Conference Room)

1 - 2:30 pm: Acting I taught by Prof. Jean Bahle (Juliana Room)

1 - 2 pm: Parent meeting with faculty (DeWitt Herrick Room)

2:30 – 3:00 pm: Auditions (Parents are released to explore campus or downtown Holland)

3:00 - 4:00 pm: Student Interviews

4:30   Portfolio reviews and theatre tours

7:30 pm: Curtain for The Miser in the DeWitt Main Theatre.
